Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

12. Can my kids get massages?

Massage for children can be beneficial in many facets. Massage has proven to reduce the effects of ADD/ADHD in children and in some dramatic cases it has even cut down the amount of prescription medication when massaged on a regular schedule. Massage can also help children by soothing growing pains, aid in assisting early onset scoliosis, and can be soothing for any child. Some therapists request a parent or guardian to be present in the room during the massage and it would be best to have an adult present especially for the first treatment. If the therapist, child and guardian all feel you have reached a comfort level where the therapist and child could be alone in the room that must be agreed upon by all.
