Zeng Massage Treatment

Massage Therapy - Reflexology - Cupping - Gua Sha

The Pure Escape is excited to offer a one-of-a-kind Massage Therapy treatment by Claire Weijun Zeng.

This 90-minute treatment offers healing touch through a lifelong passion of learned knowledge of the human body.

Claire Weijun Zeng’s vast knowledge of human anatomy has been developed through years of study in both Eastern and Western medicine. Claire graduated from Harbin Medical University in Heilongjiang China in 1991.

As a family doctor for 9 years, she used her medical skills extensively to treat and bring her patient’s bodies back to balance for full optimal health.

Claire also trained in the art of Gua Sha or scraping. This is a traditional healing art in China. It was originally taught to her by her mother when she was young. Claire was also certified for this technique in Canada. This natural, alternative therapy involves scraping your skin with a massage tool using short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow. This ancient Chinese healing technique may offer a unique approach to better health, addressing issues like chronic pain in muscles and joints.

Claire further enhanced her skills by becoming a reflexologist in 2006. The focus of Chinese reflexology is using the right intensity on specific points to aid the body in the proper flow of “Qi”. When the flow of “Qi” is blocked the entire body suffers. Manipulating specific points found in the feet and hands releases the flow of energy which can help the body relax, recuperate, and heal by itself.

Using her medical background and training, Claire focused her skills on becoming a Remedial Massage Therapist. She graduated from Massage Therapy College in Winnipeg in 2016.

Claire enhanced her knowledge in helping clients achieve optimal health and balance by completing a course in Cupping Therapy in 2017. Cupping Therapy has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. It was originally used in Chinese surgery and mentioned in ancient texts as a form of medicine.

Cupping uses negative static pressure to release toxins held in muscular tissue, invigorate blood and lymph circulation in specific areas of the body, relieve chronic muscle tension, and more.

It is sometimes referred to as needle-less acupuncture.

Claire’s lifelong passion for knowledge in the healing of the human body has made her unique as a Remedial Massage Therapist in Winnipeg. By combining all the skills and training she has attained in both Eastern and Western medicine, her treatments have become highly sought after.

Experience a lifelong quest of knowledge and healing as Claire skillfully blends each different modality into one remarkable treatment.
